About United Way of Pickens County
Every dollar given to United Way of Pickens County stays in Pickens County. Every funding decision is made by local volunteers who live and work here. Every program we support is one we believe will make this community stronger.
United Way of Pickens County is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, governed by a local Board of Directors and accountable to the people of Pickens County. We are part of the broader United Way network, but our work, our funding decisions, and our results belong to this community alone.
We focus on four Impact Areas: Education, Financial Security, Mental Well-Being, and Community Resilience. Within those areas, we operate signature programs like Camp iRock and Pathways at Work, fund proven community partners through volunteer-led Impact Councils, and steward 211, the around-the-clock resource line that helps neighbors find food, housing, healthcare, and more.
We partner with people, businesses, schools, and organizations across Pickens County to bring the resources, the expertise, and the volunteers needed to do this work well. None of it happens without the donors who make it possible.
You're invited to be part of it. Give today, volunteer, or bring your company alongside us.
