This Free File tax volunteer training session is great for beginners or those who have not yet volunteered with Free File and want to know how to get started. You will create your volunteer Link & Learn account and earn your first two certifications (Volunteer Standards of Conduct and Intake Interview & Quality Review).

Free File provides high-quality, free tax preparation services to individuals and families, to ensure hard-working people get every dollar they deserve. In a typical tax season, about 60 Free File volunteers complete IRS certification training and prepare over 1,500 tax returns for individuals and families with an average income of approximately $20,000.
