About Us

United Way is about advancing the common good by creating opportunities for a better life for all.

United Way of Pickens County is an independently-governed 501(c)3 nonprofit organization connected to a network of more than 1,300 local United Ways through United Way Worldwide. We have our own board of directors and focus on finding local solutions in Pickens County.

Our strategic approach to community problem solving concentrates on collaboration and results. We achieve results through providing services through programs such as Camp iRock summer reading program and Pathways financial coaching, while also supporting programming provided by our trusted community partners.

Our focus is on Education and Financial Stability, because these are the building blocks for a good quality of life.

We fight for 3rd graders to read on grade level, and for families and individuals to find a pathway out of poverty.

We partner with people and organizations from all across the community who bring the passion, expertise and resources needed to get things done.

You are invited to be a part of the change. Get involved today.
